MES Integration

To ensure traceability of production steps and to verify product quality, the use of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is becoming increasingly important across all industries. As a result, there are numerous providers of these systems.

On the other hand, with a few exceptions, there are no standards governing how machines are integrated with such systems.

Whether you’re buying or selling machines, incompatibilities inevitably arise at the interface between the machine and the MES system. As a buyer, you often find yourself in a situation where the new machine does not provide a protocol that your MES system can understand. As a seller, your “standard” is often not accepted by the customer. Both situations ultimately lead to costly, often intransparent modifications to the machine or even to the MES system. Sometimes it is even necessary to use additional hardware.

It doesn’t have to be that way. By using specialized, configurable middleware, you can easily integrate interfaces, protocols, and data transformations. The result is a transparent interface where the source of any issues can be clearly identified.

I’d be happy to advise you on this and create customized interfaces for your machines and systems.
